World Environment Day - Saturday 5th June

Together we can be #GenerationRestoration

Since 1974, World Environment Day has been celebrated to encourage governments, businesses and residents from around the world to unite with the common aim of addressing global environmental problems. The overall purpose is to highlight the impact we have had on our planet and its environment, to raise awareness of how to tackle the problems and how we can all do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint; not just for our benefit but for future generations.

Each year World Environment Day is hosted by a different country, and the host nation for 2021 is Pakistan. Across the world people will be able to celebrate the occasion digitally. To stay informed, find out more, download educational resources and to be a part of what has been termed ‘generation restoration’ you can visit https://www.worldenvironmentday.global/

Here at ‘Friends of’ we are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint, and we’re continually looking for ways to improve our environmental impact. The ink we use to print our publications is vegetable based, and our paper is produced from sustainable sources. What can you do to make a difference for future generations
