After last years hugely popular Photographic Competition, we are pleased to announce that entries for the Friends of Buckshaw Village Photographic Competition 2018 are now open…and it's going to be even bigger!
This years theme is "Buckshaw at its Best".
We are looking for photographs of our village that capture what you see as the best thing about where we live!
The rules are very simple. Entries need to have been taken on Buckshaw Village, which of course includes the area of Brookwood Way and surroundings, have not been used for commercial purposes (no watermarks) and have not been entered in previous Friends of Buckshaw Village competitions.
We are looking for photographs that capture the essence of our village, whether that be a street scene, nature shot or the wildlife of our village.
This year we’d particularly love to see the architecture of Buckshaw Village, the iconic views of Buckshaw Village and of course we’d love you to be creative and artistic in your photography.
Any photographs containing recognisable people/faces must have the subjects permission to be reproduced.
So get those cameras and mobile phones out and start shooting!
Any updates will be posted here over the coming months and also on our Facebook page.
Please email your entries to BuckshawFriends@hotmail.com
We have some incredible prizes again this year including a Free MOT and oil & filter service worth £99 from Leyland Autocare, A meal voucher from Nana Jan’s Fish & Chip Shop, nearly £200 worth of PT vouchers Fitbox and more. We also have prizes from local business SJL Heating & Plumbing and other local businesses still to be announced!
More prizes are coming in as local businesses let us know how they want to join in with this popular community photographic competition
To top it all, the winning entry will be reproduced onto a large canvas thanks to our friends at Green Man Marketing
The winning entry will also feature on the cover of our August Friends of Buckshaw Village community magazine.
So if you know anyone who loves taking photos or someone who simply loves Buckshaw Village, do let them know and good luck!
If you’re lucky enough, even if your entry doesn’t win it may still feature as the front cover of our Friends of Buckshaw Village community magazine over the next 12 months!
You don’t have to be an expert photographer, you just have to send us your best Village photos!
